I have lost 118 pounds, 4 pounds from goal. My breasts can almost be tucked into my waist band, and my legs look like a Sharpei dog! Ofcourse I'm almost 50 too!! Hate to burst your bubble!! Good luck!!

You didn't state your age, which is a real factor of how a body can "bounce" back, but I'm about to turn 4-0 in a month, have lost 118 lbs as well, and don't have but just a trace of the dimples in my way upper thighs. After carrying most of my weight in my abdomen, however, I now have a flat lower tummy. I attribute this to consistently working out over the last year dividing my workouts (which have built in intensity) with cardio and weight training. I can't say enough positive things about the weight training: it builds lean muscle mass; as you build muscle, it burns fat; it aids in toning your entire body; it helps protect against osteoporosis because it builds stronger bones, etc., etc. My whole body has re-shaped itself due to this regimen. My strong recommendation is find a qualified personal trainer to get you started on a reasonable workout regimen, and get going with it. If you remain faithful (at least 4x per week), you'll be amazed at what your body will look like. Also, my breasts are not saggy though I've lost some volume (ok by me) Good luck.

Hi Dawn. I had horrible cellulite on my thighs before surgery. At six and a half months post-op, I'm down 84 lbs (21 to goal) and my legs look really good. I can wear shorts now with no cellulite showing. The very tops of my thighs have some sagging skin and a small amount of cellulite, but nothing worse than most 42 year old women. I exercise like crazy (see my profile) and I think that helps a lot. Barb 4/07/03 235/151/130

Like everyone says genetics plays a part. Exercise probably would be a good idea too and also time will help. I ran into a lady who had surgery over 10 years ago and she swore by a firming cream that I believe she said she got from Avon. Her face and arms looked great. Granted it was over 10 years ago and I'm sure time played a part in this also, but you might want to try some firming creams. Its worth a try.

My breasts were flat and hung to my waist, and no excercis was helping that. Reconstructive surgery however, can perform miracles (especially if your surgeon is a genius like mine :) My breasts looks better than they ever did as a teenager. I've shown a few of my girlfriends and my husband accuses me of being an exhibitionist now LOL. OK, I digress... I also needed a lower body lift, and although is helped my thighs a good bit (removed the hanging outer wrinkles), they are still far from firm and taut. They are lumpy and shake like jello. Yuck. I should have a medial thigh lift, but don't know if I'll bother. So, I guess the answer is NO, the cottage cheese did not go away. If anything, It's lumpier than ever, just smaller.

I've found that walking gets rid of the cottage cheese thighs. Unfortunately, the boobs sag and bad all the way to my new belly button!! There's nothing you can do for that except have plastic surgery to lift them back up.
