Question:
If I increase protein will it break a plateau?
I am on a 2 weeks plateau. If I start drinking a protein drink again will it help. I have been getting all my protein in food for the last couple of weeks and haven't lost any weight. I have been getting in around 75-80 grams and 800-900 calories. If I add a protein drink will I start losing again? — Stacie B. (posted on October 23, 2003)

First of all I just wanted to direct this for Tracy, take a deep breath and
relax. You're sounding a tad STRESSED. Or at least try not answer in ALL
CAPS...makes you sound a tad b*tchy.
As far as upping the protein goes, it works like a charm. Whenever I get
stuck on the same weight for what seems like forever, I upped the protein
to 3 shakes a day. (If you can tolerate them made with water all the
better, the carbs from milk will add up fast.)

Please whisper the word plateaus, I just came off a longggggggg
one. No matter what I did it stuck to the same wt. Finally it moved. I
guess it's true when they say if you loss fast then your body has to play
catch up at one point in your wl journey. I just continue doing my
exercises, eating the right foods, and dranked my water, But added extra
time, proteins, and more water. I am at 10 months and have loss 146 lbs so
far. Just remember plateaus will happen to us all. Hang in there hon. take
care**Hugs**
