I've heard good things about Dr. Freeman in Anniston. I've heard that he
actually had the surgery himself, which adds another dimension to his care.
If you care to come to Georgia, I used Dr. Ryland Scott in Rome. He is new
to the Rome area, originally from the University of Virginia hospital. He
is awesome and highly skilled in advanced laproscopy. Good luck to you!

Dr. J.K. Champion of Marietta, GA, is one of the founders of today's
advanced laparascopic WLS techniques, having over 1500 surgeries to his
credit. He routinely performs lap WLS on patients weighing greater than
500 lbs. His web site is www.drchampion.com.....and telephone number to
request a packet of information is (770)425-5525. Five of us in our
family, with weights ranging from 275-406 lbs. have had lap RNY surgeries
with this exquisite surgeon and could not recommend him more highly. Folks
come to him from all over the US and Canada; he has a large number of
Alabama patients with several active support groups in that state. Feel
free to email me privately for more information. Best wishes!

There are two excellent surgeons in Jacksonville Fl. Dr. Hosien Yasrebi and
my own surgeon, Dr. David Sooriash. Both are very good and highly
recommended.

I would highly reccommend Dr. Freeman in Anniston, AL. He did my lap RNY
on 5/5/03. He has had the surgery himself and is very open about his
experiences. There are few surgeons that can understand what we go
through, but Dr. Freeman can.

I agree about Dr. Champion. You can read his stats on his web site. He
just did my surgery. I couldn't find a more impressive backround than his.

Would you consider Jupiter, Florida? Dr Jefferson Vaughan is a wonderful
surgeon!!! Not only does he use the VISTA medical equipment (same as
Carnie Wilson) but he also TRAINS other surgeons, as well. You can visit
his website: www.surgicalweightcontrol.com. I promise, you won't be sorry
with Dr Vaughan!!
