Question:
I am 6 weeks post op and yesterday started having abdominal pain
It is my belly area, the sides and under my belly button . It hurts when I move around. Its kind of like the soreness I had at 1-2 weeks post op. What could it be? The only thing I did out of the ordinary is push the bed a little bit yesterday morning. Could I have strained a muscle? I haven't done any physical work, lifting or straining since surgery. Do you think I am just sore because my body isn't used to work? Could this be a hernia? — Stacie B. (posted on August 15, 2003)

warning personal stuff coming up. Hi..first thing would be are you moving
your bowels. I had some problem with constipation and it hurt in the same
place. They ended up doing all kinds of test and ultrasound and found out
that I was not moving my bowels. It's a start. However, I'm a real
believer in letting your doctor check you out always when you have
unexplained pain or at least call them and describe it to them. Best
Wishes.

Unexplained pain is part of the program. but if it concerns you a whole lot
seek out your doctor for answers. this is the best thing to do. But as I go
through my wt loss journey there are all kinds of unexplained pains, but
they go away. only pain that I see that is a pain in the neck is gas pains
and when ever Im constapated(sp) sometimes eating the wrong things will
give you pain also. Then there are the healing pains also give yourself
time to heal. it's not a over night healing process, it do take time.
because you look healed on the outside it isn't true on the inside. hang in
there and take care.

You don't want guessing advice for pain on here. I would see the doc since
you are so fresh out of surgery. Good Luck!
