Question:
I am a very busy mom, and I work full time. I work on the 7th floor.
I have had a lot of trouble finding time to exercise in the morning and evening, so I started taking the stairs at work (all 7 flights) three times a day. Does this count as exercising? — Lesa H. (posted on August 1, 2003)

Hey Lesa, just wanted to say you bet your shrinking bottom. If I were
walking up 7 flights of stairs 3 times a day I would certainly count it as
exercise. I have also purchased Leslie Sansone's tape seriers "walk
away the pounds". I can do this while my son is still asleep in the
morning or at night after he goes to bed. I actually do 2 miles in 30
minutes or 3 miles in 45. It is great! Keep it up but if you want to change
your routine try these tapes. I got mine at Wal-Mart, they are also
available on e-bay. Reace

According to Fitday.com, walking upstairs for 10 minutes burns 104
calories. I don't know if that is based on my weight though. Still, it is
good exercise!
