Question:
lightweight open RNY scar 1yr. postop

i was wondering if any lightweight 1 yr. or more postop, who had open RNY would let me see a pic of your scar. i know it's a personal question to ask...but i knew i was asking the right kinda people! thanks    — franbvan (posted on July 17, 2003)

Lightweight or not, the scar should be the last of your worries. I was considered a light weight at 5'6" and 265. Sometimes the scar is a little difficult to see with all that extra skin and all. (grin)

I wish I had a pic! 8 months out - I'm 5'0" started out at 205 - now 105. The scar is fading tremendously and although I still wish I had lap, I consider the scar a trade-off! It's really not that bad. I'm loving life :)
