Has anyone on PA Medicare as their only insurance?

This is how medicare works regarding gastric bypass.......They no longer preapprove the surgery which means that you just get the surgery done and then your surgeon submits it for payment...if they find that it was medically necessary then they will cover it.Meaning the 80% that is their usual portion.Some surgeons will require you to pay your 20% portion upfront before they will do the surgery but their are surgeons who do not.I had my surgery 5 weeks ago and haven't had to pay a dime yet.
