Question:
I was wondering how much Curves cost.
I am 1 week post op and would like to join Curves when I am able. I wondered if anyone knows how much it cost and how long I should wait before I start this kind of excercise program. — Stacie B. (posted on July 8, 2003)

It depends on the area/curves facility. Call your local Curves for a price
quote (although they'll probably want to get you in to try and hook you).
My doctor suggested I wait until 2 months after surgery to lift weights.
Walking is best for you at this early stage. Good luck on your progress.

Hi, Stacie, my Curves center charges $39/month, but different franchises
charge different rates. But it should be somewhere around the same rate.
I LOVE doing my Curves! Go ahead and join, you won't regret it! Hope this
helps!

The Curves in my town is $29 per month and the owner does not charge a
sign on fee for WLS patients that are in a support group!!!! That saves
$149!!! Ask them, they might offer that too. :)

In Denver, it is $75 to join, and $29/mo. for one year. I mentioned I was
going to have WLS, and no waiver was offered for my sign on price, but like
the other poster mentioned, it varies between owner and state and city.
Good Luck. I am having surgery in 2 days!

I joined Curves at 6 wks postop. They were having a 1/2 off registration
fee at the time so it was $74 as opposed to the usual 149. If you have the
monthly fee automatically withdrawn from a checking account the fee is $29,
if you pay it yourself it's $39. I have yet to find a Curves that will give
you any kind of price over the phone and the website offered little/no
help. BUT..I have to say that I do like it..so quick & painless.
I didn't join until 6 wks post b/c that's what my surgeon said.
Best wishes!!!

Each one is different as far as prices go. The one I go to in Howell Mich
is $29 a month if you sign up for a year and $39 a month if you go month to
month. I signed up for a year so they take $29 out of my checking acct
every month. Almost forgot, there is a one time sign up fee of $59 so the
first month for me was $88 and then it was $29 after that. As far as when
to join, you will have to check with your surgeon just to be sure, but my
surgeon told me it was ok to join at my 6 week postop visit. Hope this
helps!

I work in a chiropractors office. We have had several patients come in with
problems related to the curves machines. Not at the fault of the machines,
but not getting proper instrution or supervison. I am not saying all of the
curves are like the one in my area, just be certain you are getting
accurate info on the use of the machines. Once we have this surgery we dont
want to cause any unnessesary problems.

I just joined Curves on Monday of this week. I am 1 month out. In Henry
County Ga. you can join at half price and get the rest of the summer free.
I paid $74.50 to join and will start paying $29 a month in Sept. Hope this
helps.

I just joined Curves last week. It cost me $113 to sign up, that includes
the first month of use. If you sign up as a yearly member, where you give
them either a credit card or your checking account info, and they directly
bill your account each month it's $29. If you join as a monthly member,
you pay each month, it's $39. I really enjoy going there. Hope this helps.
