Question:
What's everyone's favorite low sugar, low carb, high protein snack?

Hi Kim- When I was following Atkins, one of my favorite pseudo sweets was to take cream cheese and soften it slightly in the microwave, then stir in Splenda (a couple of packets per about 1/4 cup cream cheese), then add any of the following: vanilla extract, vanilla extract and cinnamon, sugar free cocoa powder, or sugar free peanut butter. Some people like to add the Atkin's flavor syrups but I never cared for them. Then put it back in the fridge for a little while, it's kind of like a thick pudding:o)

Full-fat cottage cheese (I refuse to eat low fat. Very little calorie savings, and full-fat makes you feel full longer) with Splenda and cinnamon. Yum!

Cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, L-I-V-E-R-W-U-R-S-T with a schmear of Gulden's spicy brown, deviled eggs (mix the yolks with a little mayo and a little mustard), 2 slices smoked turkey or low-salt ham with 1 slice american cheese wrapped around a small kosher dill. 2 slices low-salt boiled ham with a schmear of chive cream cheese in the middle and rolled up. A little egg salad, a little tuna salad, a little pate or chopped chicken liver.....MMMMMmmmm. (Anne G, I'm with you--no "no-fat" for me!!! I eat "real", full-fat everything and will continue to do so until I feel it's impeding my weight loss.)---3.5 months post open RNY, -56 lbs----

Moz cheese sticks. Eat it nearly every day. Or Jerky. Nuts come in third.

Two things...tuna salad (two cans tuna, two boiled eggs, 10-15 chopped bread and butter pickes, "they have the s/f kind by Olive Hill", one onion, miracle whip), let set for a couple hours...yum...and small pre cooked shrimpies with cocktail sauce.

Peanut Butter Lean Protein Bites!! They are these little crunchy bites of soy & whey protein that are coated in Peanut Butter. I can only find them online and they are DELISH!!! They come in a 1 oz bag and have 120 calories, 6 grams of fat, 1 (yes, ONE) gram of Carb and 14 Grams of Protein. They come in Peanut Butter, (YUMMY!), Chocolate and White Chocolate. I order them by the case and sometimes I catch it during a free shipping promotion so it costs me like $15.00...much cheaper and much yummier than most protein bars.

I love pork rinds, they have protein and low calories, and less that 2 grams of carbs. ALso, I take shredded cheese, and roll it up in a slice of turkey or roast beef, and nuke it.
