Question:
Anyone have Medicare and get APPROVED ????

Hello All: I am a post op 1 1/2 yrs out and I have a friend that wants to have the surgery...qualifying weight wise and co-morbidity wise is NOT a problem, but she has Medicare. Has anyone in California got an approval with Medicare and if so, which Dr. were they approved with?????? Medicare is a federally funded program so it is the same in every state. I answered this question yesterday. My best friend has medicare only and had surgery in Nov. I have it as secondary and had surgery in Feb. Yes it will pay if medical necessary.

I live in Alabama and have Medicare. According to my surgeon's office you do not need pre-approval with medicare just as long as you meet the surgery requirements.
