Tammy as a truck driver and a post op patient I can give you an idea of
what I do out on the road. My husband and I have a fridge in the truck
that I keep stocked with cheese, low fat lunch meats, yogurt, fresh fruit
and such. I don't eat all my meals in the truck but it sure does help on
eating healthier. On the occassions that I do eat "out" I try to
choose the best of the worst on the menu. I've found that most of the
truckstops will allow you to order the childrens price off the buffet
making it easier to choose the salads, soups and veggies off of it. I eat
alot of eggs for the protein while out on the road too. The one thing I
find hardest is staying active. I try to park the truck in the furthest
spot from the door so aleast I walk that and usually when we are loading or
delivering I try to walk the parking lot there. I've gotten some strange
looks doing this but it does help with the weight loss. Also I carry lots
and lots of water along with "edge" protein bars in the truck.
Best of luck to you
