Post Ops, What Are/Were You Eating At 7 Months Out?

Tammy, it's normal to be on a long plateau, so don't get so worried. Also,
after 6 months post-op, our bodies just slow down alot. We can't help it,
just have to accept it. Why were you grazing? DO you mean before or after
this surgery? Grazing is one of the worse things we can do as post-ops b/c
that is one way we can gain weight back. B/c we can only eat small amounts
if you eat a small amount every hour, that's alot of calories. Not sure I
understand what you meant. But I would eat 5 small meals a day and a snack
or two and drink alot of water (ATLEAST 64oz) and make sure you exercise.
And you should jumpstart your weight loss again, but it will be slower. A
typical day for me would be an egg with 1 slice cheese, a turkey club
sandwich (1 turkey, 1 cheese, 1 bacon, 1 bread, and tomato) grilled chicken
and veggies for dinner, and then a protein shake and protein bar. I'm
almost a year out, but my diet hasn't really changed much in the past few
months. You should probably eat about 1,000 calories. Goodluck to you

Hi, I am almost 7mo post-op I had open rny Sept. 19 2002 and have lost 110#
I am not eating as good as before. I do eat 1-2 protien bars a day and eat
tuna, salads, lots of meats, but I also eat chips, crackers and taco bell.
I seem to be munching all day now and I drink 1 pop a day and the rest ice
tea. The weight has slowed down alot but I eat more throughout the day. I
am almost to goal weight and im happy with everything the way it is, but im
deterined to hit goal. Good luck!!!

Hi, I am almost 9 months out I started at 561 I am 310 now , loss of 251
pounds ... I know I make sure I get all my water 60-120 onz a day , I have
been taking Protienex sense surgery , it works great for me I exersize alot
, I walk sometimes 6 miles a day , not everyday of course , I bought a Tony
Little Gazelle ~ and I love it !!! I am on my second Platou and they have
lasted a month or two at a time , I have faith it will keep going , I eat
alot of pre pakaged healthy choice , weight watchers meals , string cheese
, beef jerky and nuts are the only thing I snack on ..I have ate pizza on
several occ. somedays I have a bigger appitite than others , I can tell you
what I had today ~ a string cheese , 2 handfuls of nuts , 80 onz of water,
2 deit pepsi& vodka drinks ,and a half a piece of pizza , 2 b-12 V,
1500mg of calcium,1 multi -V,3 flax seed oil pills , zinc, iron,garlic,3
tablespoons of Protienex, 2 ginsing pills... I hope this help a little ..
