Question:
What is a good book to buy for post-op patients?
I love to read about whats going on in my life (like health and fitness) and I figured a book would be nice now. 6mo post-op, what is a good book that's not talking about before or a couple weeks after surgery? — Sandy M. (posted on April 2, 2003)

Great question! I don't know of such a book, either (I hope you get a good
answer). Meanwhile, check out the Yahoo OSSG (obesity surgery support
group) for Graduates at <A

We're not allowed to post until we're at least a year out, but you can
lurk until then, and they talk about exercise, vitamins, food, everything.
Very useful!

"Nutrition for Dummies". Great book to tell you how your body
uses and processes food, vitamins and minerals.

There is a site Wlscenter.com that is run by a lady Barbara Thompson who
has written a book telling of her surgery and alot of information. She is a
speaker, motivation speaker all over, very interesting, good site also, but
nothing like this site which has so much more information, and lots more
ways to be in contact with piers. We are so blessed to have our site aren't
we? God Bless, Suzie
