Hi there. I waited for two weeks. I was not in any pain at all and it was
enjoyable! Good luck!

At least until you get off the operating table - those tables are really
hard *G*... Seriously, I'd go at least two weeks or until you get
clearance from your surgeon...JR

My Dr. told me to wait a minimum of three weeks.

Whenever YOU feel ready. I know a lady in my support group who did the day
she got home from surgery, they were just gentle and careful.

My goodness! Why the hurry? Give your body time to heal. I hear two weeks,
three weeks, even the day one came home from the hospital. The body needs
to heal, it craves to heal. Six to eight weeks is normal for enough healing
to be safe. Be smart and don't hurry love.

The thing I am the most in shock over is the fact that you still have sex.
I have not "seen" mine in so long that I have my doubts that it
is still there. You mean I might have something else to look forward to
after this is all over?

I think it depends on how you define "sex" and what kind of a
lover your partner is and you are. There are many ways to have intimacy
that are not vigorous. If it hurts, STOP. Best of luck. Peace.

I lasted about two weeks. We found a way to please each other without too
much discomfort. I really felt sexually depressed after the surgery. My
hubby hasn't been able to keep his hands off me since week two! Gets better
every time. There's not so much between us anymore!

Speaking of outright intercourse, I only waited about 2 weeks. Just had to
be a little careful and not let my hubby lay on me. But, it was no prob.
I had open rny. My surgeon said he had no time line, whenever you feel
comfortable.

Actually you shouldn't be having sex until your doc gives clearance for
EXERCISE. If you doc is releasing you to exercise at 2 weeks then go for
it but if it not until 4 or 6 or 8 weeks then you should be using that as
your guideline. Thats the same for ANY surgery. My TT was 8 or 9 weeks
until I was released! Ya, I know, long time for you guys bouncing off the
OR table!! (And yes, he was specific about waiting for BOTH)
