Question:
Does anyone sell beach chairs for the obese?

We live in NC on the outerbanks and would love beach chairs that can support at least 400 lbs. My roommate and I have looked and looked and been unable to find anything. Summer will be here soon and we are both seeking and to take place early this summer. We would like to be able to go to the beach and walk or just take the kids and do some swimming when we are healed and the chairs would be helpful. You could try QVC...they used to carry a few different styles of something called "What-A-Chair". You could also try googling that name. Best of luck.

Mary D -- thanks. And thanks to the poster for asking the question. I live on Long Island and have broken several chairs each summer (so hugely embarrassing you canNOT imagine). I'm having Lap RNY on 3/21 and was wondering if the "regular" chairs will be good for this summer. I'm not sure I'll have lost enough weight. I spoke to soon. Those commercial chairs aren't beach chairs, they're stackers, not folding. The other folding chairs aren't beach chairs, they sit too high.. ; ( No luck still. I'll keep searching for all us! We deserve some fun in the sun, too!

Dawn I found a folding chair that holds up to 500 lbs on the QVC shopping network. good luck
