Question:
I'm almost a year post op and am having pain
For the last 4-5 days I have been having a lot of stomach pain. It is kind of a dull pain in my upper stomach, right below my rib cage, that feels like gas pains, but I don't think it is, and the pain doesn't go away. Also, I can only eat maybe 5 bites of food and am getting that stuck feeling and have to stop. I have got to start feeling better. Does anyone know what an obstruction feels like? — heddo30 (posted on February 16, 2003)

Have you had your gallbladder taken out? It will cause a pain on the right
side right about your rib cage. Just a thought.

Hi, I'm hoping to have the surgery so I don't have insight into what could
be causing this . The only suggestion I have is get back with the
surgeon/Dr who did the surgery to see what's wrong. If I was in your shoes,
I'd be calling the doctor pronto. Best of luck! Hope it's nothing too
serious.

I had surgery on Oct 7th and 12 weeks after had bad gas pain that did not
go away with gas x pills it became so severe I was doubled over crying.
When I went to the ER they thought it was my gall bladder but it turned out
to be a kink in my bowel. Check with your doctor to make sure nothing is
wrong.

I had my surgery 3 days before you and was just diagnosed with an ulcer 2
weeks ago. I had the same kind of pain you're describing. Hey, when are
we going to see that AFTER picture on your profile you promised back in
December???
