Question:
I'm 3 months post op and tummy still sensitive
I'm three months post op and my tummy is still pretty sensitive to anything snug on it. I'll put on a pair of jeans that seem to fit (when standing up), however after sitting for awhile I realize they feel very uncomfortable on my stomach. I'm not shoving myself into the pants. I almost have to wear pants that are 1 or 2 sizes bigger than normal. Anyone else have this problem? Any idea when it will end. I had lap rny on 10/16/02. Thanks!! — Stacy L. Some people experience swelling from surgeries for up to 6 months. I
wonder if you aren't still experiencing some swelling as well? I know
after my tummy tuck last spring I went through what you're describing for
months. I'm also doing the same thing now (post op from two surgeries, one
Nov, one Dec). Since I'm so much more aware of my tummy now I can actually
look closely and tell there is some swelling. If it continues or really
bothers you seeing a doctor might be appropriate. Hopefully we'll both get
into our proper sized pants soon. Kind of takes the fun out of dropping
sizes when you can't wear them, doesn't it!?
