Question:
Has anyone ever had hernia repair st the same time as WLS?

hi, i had open rny back on 08/15 along with a hernia repair, that i had gotten from previous surgery, everything went ok, dr. said to take it easy, because if i had one before, i had a 50% chance of getting another one. no complications or anything,

I had Hernia repair X3 12/06/02. I still can't lift anything over 10lbs,but so far so good

I had lap-rny done 9-17-02 and had hernia repair at the same time. I still have a little bit of soreness where the mesh is adhering to the stomach wall.

I had open RNY November 29, 2001 and had an unbilical hernia repaired at the time. I also had my gallbladder removed. We didn't know about the hernia before the surgery and the surgeon just threw in the repair while he was there. I now have several hernias and am waiting for insurance approval for hernia repair and tummytuck.

My surgeon discovered an umbilical hernia during my Lap RNY surgery and fixed it right then and there.
