I was 54 at time of surgery and my friend Richard was 65 at
time of his surgery. We both has surgery thru the Marima Group in Fort
Lauderdale Florida in June. We both did very well.

I am 60, had surgery 3 months ago, I belong to a group of
"oldies" I think the oldest is 70 but not sure. My doctor was Dr.
Champion in Atlanta, he does not belong to any network does accept
insurance but you will need to pay up front what the expected amount that
the insurance will not pay. I do not know how or if he accepts Medicare.
Good Luck.

Surgery 2/21/02 at age 67 and weight of 325. Lots of problems (See
profile) but have lost 93 lbs to date with no exercising and lots of time
in bed/recliner. I am slowly improving and am so glad I had the surgery.
Good luck to your Mom. Oh, yes, Medicare paid and BC/BS took care of the
rest. My only cost was prescription co-pay. Nina in Maine
