Question:
Have had back pain since surgery 8/6/02, found out why:
I couldn't take the pain any longer, (it is in the middle of my back, in the bra band area). I checked out this site and found that as an early post-op it could be trapped gas. That satisfied me. Then when it continued, I thought hey, I've lost alot of weight, maybe I need new bras....anyway, I tried all things to no avail. Finally I went to chiropractor, it turns out that I have two ribs out of place. This is fairly common in any surgery where they need to spread the rib cage. And to top it off losing weight as fast as we do also ups the risks of this. I just wanted to post this for anyone else out there that may be experiencing this. It will take about 8-10 appointments to correct it for me, but he could not believe that I made it this long without help. Good luck to anyone else with this pain. Hopefully this info is helpful. — Dana B. (posted on December 19, 2002)

Thank you for sharing Dana.......I thought I was the only one. Happened to
me too, I finally went in after 6 months. Only took one visit for me
though. :P

Ive been a long time chiropractic patient simply because I believe
chiropractic care is good for your overall health. Anyway, as im losing
weight (Im 5 months out) - Im noticing that my lower back is really killing
me. I asked the chiro about this and he said its because the muscles and
tendons which were stretched more to carry all the pounds are now
contracting and moving around as the body mass shifts. I go in for deep
tissue massage (aka deep tissue torture) once a week to help release a
specific muscle across the back of my pelvis.
