Question:
Is it okay to SCUBA dive with a LapBand?

I have seen several responses that indicate that it is okay to SCUBA dive after a bypass operation but what about those of us who have had a LapBand (AGB) installed? Will the pressure underwater effect the stomach enough where it would allow the band to slip? Having said that, would the pressure force out any saline that might be in my reservoir?I pretty much fell asleeep in my high school physics class on the day they went over this subject. in a situtation like this, it is always best to take the advice of your doctor, people on here aren't dr's and can only relay information from their personal experiences and the advice of their dr's...I would ask him, then there is no doubt or worry...good luck
