Hi first i want to say I am sorry for your loss, I know how you feel as i
just had a miscarriage myself, being 11 and I wasnt even trying to get
pregnant it just happend in months out from wls I wasnt prepared for even
being preg fact i was using protection and still got pregnant, anyways, i
dont know if the wls is the cause of it because lots of women miscarry who
didnt have the wls, and lots of wls women have sucessfull pregnancies. You
mite want to make sure you have the nutrients your bodies needs though just
to insure your body is healthy. there are a couple of sights you can visit
that seem to have alot of info regarding miscarriages

I had two prior to WLS. There are so many things that have to be just
right for a life to be created. Yes WLS would make you at a higher risk
because of the absorbtion of foods, but at that early in the pregnancy,
uless there was a gross malabsorbtion of a certain vitamin or mineral, i do
not see how that could have caused it. They can do pathology testing to
see what the exact cause was. I opted no to do that.......if it was
something I had caused...I could not have lived with myself.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know this doesn't help you to feel better,
but when I miscarried, my doctor told me that 20% of known pregnancies end
in miscarriage. Many more end before the woman even knows she is pregnant.
Please try to stay positive, you could not have done anything to prevent
it, it's not at all your fault. Sometimes, these things just happen. Let
yourself heal spiritualy before you try again, you need to grieve for your
loss. God bless you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. you should know that 20-30 % of pregnancies
end in miscarriage, many before a woman even knows she is pregnant. there
are many things that can cause miscarriages, and there are tests you can do
to find out causes and possibly treat them. It was inappropriate for your
Dr. to suggest that it was WLS that caused it without knowing if you have
one of a zillion other problems that may have caused it. I have known many
women who have has miscarriages caused by things like hrmone
insufficiencies, antibodies that caused clots in the umbilical cord, among
other things. they have gone on to have healthy pregnancies, as have many
women who have had WLS. Good luck !
