Question:
HAS ANYONE USED BCBS-PPO FOR PLASTIC SURGERY, SPECIFICALLY BREAST LIFT & NECK LIFT?
DID YOU GET APPROVED? HOW LONG DID IT TAKE? DO YOU HAVE LETTERS TO SHARE? THANKS SHIRLEY DENMARK [email protected] — shirley denmark chitjian (posted on November 30, 2002)

I have Anthem BC BS ppo and I just got approval for a panniculectomy, even
though I know they've approved b4 my surgeon told me that I am the first HE
has had to get this approved (and this is the ins that a lot of pple in our
community has, the two largest employers offer this ins). But I was also
looking into a breast lift and we did not even attempt to seek ins approval
for that, he said that the ins definately would not cover this... So I
guess that flopsy and mopsy will be around hanging out in their Victoria's
Secret sexy miracle bras (lol).
I did research this b4 and according to what I found out it is easier to
get a panniculectomy approved rather than an abdominplasty (sp?). There is
an abundance of research here at obesity help on this subject and there are
lots out there willing to help, sometimes you may have to dig a bit, but
it's here =). Luck to ya and feel free to e me personally.
