Question:
if you think pysch. is not going to clear you for surgery can I?

MY PSYCH. TOLD ME THAT HE WILL APPROVE TO CLEAR ME FOR SURGERY BUT HE IS GOING TO PUT IN THE LETTER THAT I HAVE TO SEE SOMEONE FOR MY PANIC DISORDER (CANT GO OUTSIDE ALONE ONLY W/ SOMEONE)ANYWAY HE SAID HE THINKS IT MIGHT AFFECT ME AFTER SURGEY B/C HE SAID I WILL STUCK IN THE HOUSE AND MIGHT OVEREAT AGAIN I DO GO OUT BUT I HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE W/ ME AND I TOLD HOW AFTER THE SURGERY AND WHEN I START TO LOOSE WEIGHT I WILL HAVE BETTER ESTEEM AND BE ABLE TO GO OUT ALONE LIKE I USE TO BUT HE WANTS ME TO SEE HIM THIS MON. SO I TOLD HIM NOT TO SEND EVALUATION TO SURGEON YET UNTIL I SEE HIM MON. I AM HOPING TO EXPLAIN MYSELF BETTER SO HE WILL CLEAR ME WITHOUT ANY STIPULATIONS MY QUESTION IS DO YOU THINK THAT WILL WORK OR CAN I TELL HIM NOT TO SEND EVALUATION AT ALL AND GO TO DIFFERENT PSYCH. THAT UNDERSTANDS OBESITY BETTER CAN YOU DO THAT?THE LADY FROM THE SURGEONS OFFICE TOLD ME ALL LOOKS GOOD FOR INS. I ONLY NEED THAT EVALUATION FROM PSYCH. BUT SHE TOLD ME THAT IF HE DONT CLEAR ME INS. i would probably find a psch dr who is familar with the various personalities that may be present in a obeses patient, it seems as though you may not have represented yourself ina a"normal" way and perhaps the psch dr will think that you are only now trying to appear to have control on your anxiety to be released. i would find a bairiatic friendly psych dr that would understand that i prefer to isiolate myself only because of the weight and not for other reasons. only GOD can define what is truly normal and judge on what is truly acceptable for a norm, so just in case try to find a dr that has more training in psychological testing and screening for bariatric patients, make any sense ??????
