Question:
i have been diagnosed with h.plylori, will this effect my wls approval

The doctors office will not send for approval until you come back negative from the H. Pylori. It happened to me twice. I just got cleared from it. Just make sure you take all of your antibiotics. You will be fine after it is gone.

Im 8 days out (open RNY) and they found H.pylori when they did my Pre test EGD. When I woke up from the EGD the nurse was the one that mentioned it and said that most people have it and that they would just give me antibiotics for it when i was in the hospital. It was not even mentioned to me by my surgeon. Ill see him for my first post-op in about a week and will mention it to him myself. Since this test is usually done as part of your testing the day before surgery I dont see how it could be that big of a deal. But you know everyone and everyone's surgeon is different. You'll probably just have to wait and see (isnt that fun lol) good luck to you.
