I have heard that this is common among people that have the MGB proceedure,
because the bile (gall bladder juice) is diverted in a strange way. I would
encourage you to talk to your surgeon, as this fluid could cause you
problems. Good Luck!

BILE - A greenish-yellow fluid secreted by the liver and stored in the
gallbladder. Bile plays an important role in the intestinal absorption of
fats. Bile is secreted by the liver and contains cholesterol, bile salts,
and waste products such as bilirubin. Bile salts aid in the digestion of
fats. Bile passes out of the liver via the bile duct where it is stored in
the gallbladder and released in response to a fat-containing meal.

It can also be stomach acid. I have had the same experience many times
because of GERD. I do not have a gallbladder.

The last poster is correct. It can also be stomach acid that regrugates
back up into the esophagus from the upper stomach. It is often seen in
people with a history of sleep apnea. Have you been tested?

See you PCP for the famous purple pill. Also do you eat before going to
sleep. There are many causes, let your Doc figure it out.

and the heartburn You might just want to call your surgeons office and see
if they will give you Pepcid or Prilosec which cuts down GERD gastro
