Hi Mabel, You may becoming dehydrated. Drink a minimum of 64 oz of water
daily. Once your daily water intake levels off, your blood pressure should
as well. Also, stand up slowly. If you go from a sitting position to
standing too quickly, you may feel very lightheaded or even pass out. Your
blood pressure isn't too terribly low, so the added water will most likely
improve how you feel in just a few short hours. Just keep it up! Take
care.

WLS is a big adjustement to our bodies in a very fast timeframe. Certinally
check with your doc. It will likely go away in time. I had the same
problem, even after getting off the BP meds. My lowest recorded BP was 85
over 58. Suspect it was MUCH lower than this. Felt like I would hit the
deck, saw stars sometimes as well. Mostly in the late afternoon when the
circidian rythym restets, according to my doc. Drink more fluids, hat helps
but TIME really fixed me. I check my BP from time to time. It NOW averages
110 over 70 which is normal. Its GREAT to be normal! Be sure to stand upp
and move SLOWLY to minimize the lightheadness.

I think this may be a phase most of us go through whether you previously
had high blood pressure or not. I personally was on high blood pressure
pre-op. Within 1 month post-op I started feeling faint, light-headed and
extremely tired. My doctor cut my B/P med in half-didn't help. I
increased my B12 and water- didn't help. At 3 months post-op I stopped my
B/P med altogether as I was running 80/50!! For the next 3 months my B/P
flucuated between 90/60 and around 120/80, with periods of lightheadedness
still occurring. Now at nearly 14 months post-op my B/P has stablized at
110/68 and I rarely get lightheaded. I think it's like Bob said, our
bodies go through a lot with this surgery and it will just take some time
for yours to adjust. Just be sure to get in your water and MOVE SLOWLY
when you feel faint!! Good luck.
