Question:
Where to find protein bars for less?
I am still pre-op, but was looking at protein bars yesterday and wowey- are they expensive!! 2 bucks for ONE bar. Is there somewhere these can be purchased cheaper? I was looking at my local grocer (Food Lion). Anyone know if Sam's Wholesale carries them in bulk and roughly the cost (and for how many)? Thanks for any responses! — karmiausnic (posted on August 29, 2002)

Try www.dpsnutrition.com. When I was on the Adkins diet I was able to get
my bars for less then a dollar. They carry almost every protein bar on the
market. They also run specials if you buy several boxes at a time. Hope
that helps.

I find the bars at Walmart for 96 cents each compared to 1.60-2.50 at the
grocery/drug stores. Sometimes they have sales and they are only 88 cents!

I found some great protein bars at Costco. Twenty-four for 23.00 and they
are very good. They contain 31gm of protein. Now these aren't protein bars,
but I bought the little appetizer quiches by Nancy. Two of them are perfect
for breakfast. They have cheese and spinach and 6gm of protein.
