Question:
I need a list of high protein foods, please!
I would have thought there would have been no problem finding a list, either in the library here on AMOS or in a search engine, but......I would like to find a list of high protein foods. I know the basics- eggs, cheese, milk, chicken, beef, peanut butter. Does anyone have a list they could email me or post here? Thanks in advance! Light yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, soft fish (baked, boiled, grilled),
tuna fish, baby shrimp, scallops, crab, bean and lentil dishes and soups,
fat free refried beans, low fat luncheon meats (turkey, roast beef sliced
thin), and tofu (soy) mixed in soup or vegetables. These are all high
protein choices. I hope this helps!

Don't forget ricotta cheese! It has lots of protein and a taste that mixes
with lots of stuff. Also you can buy soynuts plain or flavored, and soy
crisps that aren't bad either. I was pressed for time and money and made a
meal out of a bag of plain soy crisps and some juice. It was kind of like
eating mini popcorn cakes. Also a good ol' protein bar comes in handy every
once in a while. I've eaten jerky and lots of nuts for snacks. Some
cereals, like kashi go lean, have protein in them. I also make 7 grain hot
cereal with milk and it has about 15 g protein in it plus fiber. Become a
label reader. There are lots of good protein foods out there. Like the
previous poster I also love shrimp and other shellfish. It packs a protein
punch and tastes pretty good, too!

KEEP AN OPEN MIND NOW, it tastes exactly like very lean ground beef, it has
no cholesterol, like 1g of fat per serving, and a gazillion grams of
protien. It is ground ostrich. I swear by it. I will not buy ground beef.
