Question:
Looking for a PCP in Austin that is WLS friendly.

Does anyone know of a PCP in the Austin area that is WLS friendly? My current PCP believes that I should eat healthy and exercise to lose weight. Heck ... if that worked I wouldn't be considering surgery.    — goldylox (posted on August 14, 2002)

I know what you mean. I went to talk to my PCP about my weight about 6 months ago, and got an answer of, "What do you want from us?". Because of the diagnosis of morbid obesity, the insurance, BCBS Healthselect, wouldn't cover the office visit or the lab work. I ended up owning $300 just for worrying about my health.
