Question:
I am having surgery on September 26. My pre-op appointment is 9/23; I am scheduled
to meet the nutritionist @ 9:45, my doctor @ 11:15 and then attend a pre-anesthesia clinic @ 12:20. My doctor (Dr. Thirbly, Seattle) has not scheduled any type of pre-op testing and I am pretty sure he does not intend to. Is this normal? I am afraid I could die because of no pre-op tests to detect problems. — Stephanie S. (posted on July 29, 2002)

Its likely a mistake. I would call and ask whats up. You definetely need
some basic pre op tests. This could delay your surgery, call today!
