Question:
Has anyone had Regence Selections in WA cover Plastic Surgery?

I am looking into having a adomoplasty/panni, breast lift and my arms done. I'm know for sure the arms won't be covered. They are one of the worst insurance co.'s and will not cover WLS, "NO WAY, NO HOW". (I had different insurance for my WLS) I used to get rashes so bad that the skin would split, smelly skin, etc. But now that I'm post-op RNY, I don't get them anymore. How can I get Regence to cover it? What do I say for the initial call to them? I know not to mention "Cosmetic" or "TT" and just to call it reconstructive. Can someone tell me what exactly they told the insurance co. on the initial call? I just don't want to botch it in the first call. Thanks!    — Kris T. (posted on July 15, 2002)
