Question:
eating too much at 11 months post-op?
when i complain about it. im sure i must have bust my staples or SOMETHING! ive lost only 140lbs in 11 months. i started out weighing 405. i know this sound like post below mine about amounts but hey i can eat waaaay more than that. im walking 3/4 miles daily drinking plenty of water my diet SUCKS... because ill still eat sweets a donut here, piece of cake there...but i tell myself at least it isnt THREE pieces like the old days. im grateful for the weight i have lost but i just wannna lose more. any comments (even the nasty ones) would be appreciated. my surgeron basically had no aftercare followup thing so ive been winging it on my own since my surgery. i just thank God for this site since its the only guide ive had. — lil J. Have you looked at the pouch rules for dummies? (You can find it at
http://www.shelby.net/wizards/larger.htm ). It's a great guideline on the
rules of eating after weight loss surgery. Are you drinking your protein
supplements? It really helps with the cravings. And lastly, I would also
strongly suggest finding a support group for post ops in your area. I live
in a tiny town (less than 6000) and I know of at least 5 people who've had
weight loss surgery. Good luck to you.

I wish I had known how important it would be for me to AVOID CARBS like the
plague. They were okay pre-op, but now they go straight to our hips.
Also, eating carbs causes a quick release of insulin (dumping) which can
lead to insulin resistance and the surrounding problems (obesity, PCOS,
heart problems, etc.) Try Carb Solution bars which are sweet but low in
carbs and get back to the basics before your Window of Opportunity closes!
Good luck.
