Question:
Looking for an unflavored protein powder to add into hot or cold foods

Hello! I'm sure this has been asked, please forgive me.. but I just got my surgery date and have only TWO WEEKS to get my ducks in a row. I'm looking for an unflavored protein powder that can be mixed into other foods to boost the protein levels. Hot foods, soups, potatoes, etc, cold foods like puddings and such. Any tips on what's out there and where I can find it (I'm on the west coast in Portland Oregon) would be HUGELY appreciated. Thank you so much!    — Joscelin (posted on May 21, 2002)

Try veggie fuel by twin labs. It is however a little gritty. Good Luck

You can order ProCel and Up Cal D at www.vitalady.com My order hasn't arrived yet, so I can't tell you how I like it, but it is supposed to be tasteless and can be mixed into anything. Best wishes to you!!

I have used two--MLO Milk and Egg protein and Spirutein Simply Natural. The Spirutein can be ordered over the internet (probably the MLO, too). I got the MLO in the grocery store. I prefer the non-flavored because I can't stand things that are too sweet.

I have tried Pro Cel. To me it is not tasteless. However, it is much better than the standard Whey protein powders. I put it in my coffee. It gives the coffe a "creamed" consistency. You have to use 6 scoops (small scoop) to get 30 grms of protein. I think it might work better and have less taste if you would put no more than 2 scoops in whatever you are eating/drinking. Doing it that way would mean having to add it to almost everything you eat/drink in order to get in enough protein. Like I said it is not tasteless, but I have yet to find anything better. It does disolve well. Disolves better in cold liquids. Try it, you may like it.

Try Unjury. Go to Unjury.com. The chocolate is magnificent, and the vanilla is great too. They also have unflavored. They all have 20 grams per scoop. I put a scoop of unflavored in almost everything, including plain milk. No taste, no odor. I am EXTREMELY picky, and gag at almost anything like this, but this product rocks!
