Question:
wondering what it is or is this normal
I had open RNY surgery in May of 2001, I have lost 125 lbs. and very thankful, BUT I can't remember a day that I haven't had stomach pains, it hurts all the time, not bad but just enought to bother me. When I eat my stomach swells up to look like a basketball ( round ) and I stay so run downed, I have no energy, and tired all the time. Just wondering if any one else has these problems? — lyn L. Lyn,
Boy that sounds scary... I'm pre-op but I don't think your stomach
distending(sp?) like that is normal. What does your doctor say about this
and the chronic pain? I would really see your doctor if you haven't. Good
luck!

Hi Lyn. I had surgery on Jan. 9, 2001 and still continue with pain in my
stomach area. Not sure if it is the same as yours but I tried Gas X and it
helped a lot. You may just be experiencing gas pain. Talk to your doctor
though. I'm sure you're not the first person who has suffered with this and
he/she could probably help you with meds. Good luck!
