I have a consultation, what's next.

I finally have a consultation set up with a Dr. Zagorski at Tripler Army Hospitial in March. I have Tricare Prime and I just need to know what to expect the process to be like. Also, if any of you have good questions to ask him please let me know. Thanks    — jamie H. (posted on February 14, 2002)

Is this for a WLS surgeon or your PCP? If it's your PCP just tell him/her you want a referral for a WLS doc in your area...hopefully he wil be supportive. He may want to do a check up etc., but in my mind it's better to save all the labs, chest xray, etc. for your pre-op screening. Good luck. (My PCP didn't even blink when I said what I wanted, she just wrote a referral like that...truthfully, I was a little insulted...)
