I would suggest calling the Tri-care help line and having them check on the
status of your case. There is always the possibility that you got
"lost in the shuffle".

From what I understand, if you go through a military hospital like I am
(Walter Reed), Tricare Prime is practically an OK from the start. My
surgeon had me go through lots of tests and found that I had sleap apnea
(now I have a CPAP 10 and 4). I have high BP, arthritis, swelling and
family history of getting diabetes late in life. I'm 45, 5'4", 262
lbs and have a BMI of 45. I had no problem with Tricare, at all.
Actually, I never had to send a letter or anything. Tricare Prime is
terrific if you're going to a military facility. I really don't have any
experience with them except that they paid about $1200 for my CPAP machine
and left me with $341. All in all, I believe they are a good insurance
company. I would call them and see where your "stuff" is.
