Question:
How do you avoid the urge to snack?
I have had terrible munchies lately. I can eat alot of snacks and food and it is scary. It is reminding me of my past habits. I am not hungry but I cannot help it. What is going on. I especially get the munchies at night time around 9.. any advice how to avoid this? — [Anonymous] (posted on January 10, 2002)

Geez, I thought I had written this. I was hoping you'd
have some feedback -- I need it to because I've been feeling
the very same way!!! And munching as well.

Hi There! I have the same problem in the evenings....I now have crocheted
2 afghans to keep my hands busy :) and for the really BAD nights when I
don't think that I can control my hand to mouth problem, I drink a BIG
glass of water and take my now SKINNY BUTT to bed. Works like a charm
everytime...I don't even wake up hungry in the morning. GOOD LUCK !!!!!

You'd be SURPRISED what one No-sugar-added Fudgesicle can do for you in the
evening when you crave 'a little something'...! This helps snackers AND
chocoholics..!! and at only 45 calories.. it's MUCH better than some chips
or stuff that can pack a 145 calorie whallop.. or MORE!!

3 weeks open rny/silastic band & i have discovered met-rx protein bar,
salted & roasted soy nuts, pretzels, sf fudge pops & sf popsicles.
a glass of no sugar added fruit juice, a glass of water or even a cup of
broth. these all work for me depending on whether i want to chew, if i want
hot or cold or solid or liquid. good luck.
