Question:
Im trying to get my surgery done through my medical card ,

Ive called everywhere and they say that they dont cover it. but i seen many people get it done through them. i dont understand.. i know i need this surgery, i'll die without it. im 500lbs. now what?    — alondralouise2 (posted on January 10, 2002)

hello alondra my name is rhonda "luvy" and i live in montebello california right outside los angeles in la county still anyhow i also am on medi-cal out here but my plan is through health net now how does it work where you are? .....we'll i used my health net through medi-cal and had to appeal at first but only once then they asked for doctor supervised diets (6 months at least) then i got my appointment with the dr. in arcadia calif. dr pehrrson so now i am just waiting for my appointment to get my upper GI done then i get my surgery date and pre-op........i know it gets very frustrated if you need help please email me and help with what i can ....good luck

My surgery was done in pittsburgh PA. my insurance through dpw covered it my doctor has told me there are numerous dpw insures that cover it maybe call there office and they can help you. The number is 412 359-8333 ask for brenda she is very helpful.
