Question:
Anyone else have to have iron injections?

Okay I have been thinking about this and have a question. I have to get iron injections every week from my doctor at a cost of $75.00 a shot! These are NOT B12 injections. She bills me 50.00 a shot for the iron alone and then 25.00 for the injection from a nurse. Does anyone else do their own iron injections from home? This would save me ALOT of money as my insurance would charge me only 20.00 a month for the prescription. Can it be done?    — Barbara H. (posted on January 4, 2002)

I am taking a series of 5 (weekly) shots -- my insurance covers all but a $20 copay each week.
