Question:
Indigestion after every meal

I am 6 and a half months post op and for the past two weeks I have had indigestion after every meal no matter how bland it is. I had my gall bladder removed during my open RNY so I know its not that. I am concerned maybe I might have a staple line disruption and perhaps my food is dumping into my old stomach causing me nausea and just a sick feeling for an hour or so after every meal. I was just at my surgeon before this began and everything was great. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.    — Mattsmom34 (posted on December 28, 2001)

Do you know if you were transected or not? The heartburn thing was my first hint that my staple line was gone. I knew there was only ONE way the acid from the lower stomach could get up into the pouch. Uh oh. Dam broke. So, at least the diagnosis was fast and the process toward revision went quickly, so there wasn't much reqain.
