Question:
I am 4 weeks post-op. My period is 2 weeks late.
My husband had a vascectomy 8 years ago, so I am sure I am not pregnant. — harleychick (posted on December 27, 2001)

I am 7 weeks out and just had mine last week. It had been 8 weeks. I was
just so glad I didn't start in the hospital. The doctor told me that this
could happen and not to worry about it. As soon as it was over I dropped 9
pounds.

Vasectomies do fail, they are like anything else, nothing is perfect. You
might want to get a home pregnancy test just to make sure. Of course in
either case call your doctor.

Hey there! I had my T.O.M. in the hospital, immediately following my
surgery. Then I too was late with my next one. I believe I was 3 weeks
late, but had a normal period when it did come...be patient. Our body is
so busy losing weight and becoming thin...periods may get pushed aside for
a bit:)!!

Rapid weight loss is I'm sure the cause. Stresses on the body like rapid
weight loss/gain, strenuous exercise, and surgery can cause the changes in
the cycle. If you are really worried, I would ask the doc.
