Question:
Drugs and treatments after surgery?

I had the RNY on 5/7/01 and have lost 91 lbs! I feel wonderful and I am finally able to do things I haven't done in years. Unfortunately I was just diagnosed with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. They have put me on Prednisone and Methyltrexiate (sp?). I hate being on these drugs, however, I can not function without them. What I am wondering is if anyone else is taking these medications after RNY and having relief. The Prednisone is a steriod which causes me to be hungary and is making the Psoriasis VERY BAD and the other drug makes my hair fall out. I feel like this is a no win situation. Just when I got my weight where I am comfortable, I now have horrible rashes everywhere! Thanks for any input that you might be able to offer. I'm pre surgery but I also have psorasis and I do not take any meds my doctors has given me some injections in the really bad areas & creams for the others sometime the creams don't work as well as the injections, but I have keep my psorasis pretty much under control except my scalp :)and it drive me crazy. one thing the areas I had injected the rash went away in about 3-4 days and have keep it under control. hope this helps. I know how you feel.

I forgot they gave me Vioxx for the pain in my joints.
