Question:
How long will I be out of work for a tummy tuck??
i work as a waitress in a small restaraunt. I have 4 shifts per week. It is really low key and I know that everyone there will help me. I also know that they as well as me, cannot go for too long a time with me out of work. I may end up losing my job if I am out for too long. Will I be able to go back ina few weeks? I could really use some insight on this. I haven't even talked to my surgeon about the tuck yet, but I a year out and go for my 1 year appointment in about 2 weeks. Thanks for your suggestions. — enjo4 (posted on November 2, 2001)

My sister had it done and she was able to go back to work in 4 weeks.. but
she had a desk job.. she said, it took a long time to be able to stand up
straight.. so her back hurt her for awile, walking hunched over.. So where
you are a waitress and on your feet alot.. I would guess you could go back
in about 6 weeks.. just don't over do it.. I want a tummy tuck done also..
just need to find the money.. Good Luck! Debbie

I am 15mo P/O RNY I lost 168lbs when I had my abdominal plasty I went back
to work after 7 days. I was in great shape before surgery because I worked
out on my treadmill running /walking 5days a week. I was back to
exerciseing after 3weeks(slowly)and then full exercise 6 weeks. I felt
great I didn't even harly need pain medication. I believe exercise no only
heals the body but the mind also.
