I know they sell a sugar free carnation instant breakfast at super walmart.
There isn't a variety of flavors but it is sugarfree. I do not know yet
how many grams of sugar I can have afterwards.

They have a Sugar Free version. I have heard that Carb Solutions has 20
grams of protein and no sugar or carbs. Maybe something to check out!

jacqueline, that is way too much sugar for you after surgery! You are
right! The makers of Ensure have a diabetic version of their drink called
Glucerna. You can purchase it at Wal Marts. It comes in vanilla, chocolate
and butter pecan. Even though I am a chocolate lover the butter pecan seems
to be the best. Also GNC sells a whey protein drink mix. You mix it in the
blender if you want with some fruit and it is delicious! It almost feels as
if you are 'cheating'!! Good luck.

The Carnation Instant Breakfast that is sugar free has only 8 grams of
sugar and the vanilla is great. I don't think I could ever go back to the
regular. Also Crystal Lite is a great drink to get your water in you,
lemonade or raspberry ice are very good. Good Luck!!

My nurse sugested Pro Complex. You can get it at GNC. It has 55gm of
protein per 12oz serving. That is the highes amout you can get over the
counter. A 2lb cotainer cost about 42.00.

I visited www.vitalady.com and ordered samples today. She and her husband
have both had the surgery and offer a wide variety of protein drink samples
at $1.50 each so you can try the different kinds without buying big
canisters. They offer the ones they know to work after surgery and offer a
lot of tips on the website.

Read the labels very carefully. Some high protein drinks and bars
are loaded with carbohydrates. I found one such drink and it had
40 grams of carbs! Dr. Atkins Advantage protein drink tates great
and has almost no carbs, although it is a bit pricey.

The CIB everyone is talking about is *NOT* sugar free - it is *NO SUGAR
ADDDED*. Add this to 10 g from the milk and I go to dump city. I can
drink half a serving at a time, though.
