Question:
Has anyone been able to get their/theitspouse's company to change plans?

I recently got coverage under my husband's policy (obtained through his company). It has a big fat (pardon the pun) exclusion for any treatment for obesity and weight reduction, including surgical procedures. Knowing that my policy has this exclusion, I cannot get any surgery support groups or surgeons to even look in my direction. I was considering trying to get my husband's company to switch to an hmo because it costs relatively the same money and the coverage is much better. I am concerned, though, about the security of my husband's job once I stir this up since he has only been employed for four months. Has anyone actually been able to do this? How?    — margaret R.
