HAS ANYONE GOTTEN APPROVED FOR A LAP RNY FROM BC/BS PPO IN ILLINOIS

I am currently fighting with another insurance carrier for approval. They consider the lap procedure expiermental. My husband has blue cross ppo at his job. I have psuedo tumor cerebri and am currently being treated with a lumbar shunt. The shunt is in my spine causing almost constant leg and back pain. I am reduced to going out only 1x per week.
