Question:
has anyone not had any complications; hernia, gallbladder problems, etc.?

I had my gallbladder taken out several years before my DS surgery, so never
had to face that as a complication. For the rest of it, at 8 months
post-op, I have had NO complications. No nausea beyond a few weeks
post-op, no hernias, no weird pains, no vomiting, no deadly-stinky gas, no
diarrhea. I joke with my surgeon that I am the poster child for a good
recovery!

Hi, I had a vbg about 10 months ago. I have not had any of the
complications you are talking about. The only time that I feel alittle
nausea is if I eat a bite or two more than I am suppose to. Best of luck
to you.

Part of my preop testing was having an ultrasound of my gallbladder. Since
it was normal prior to surgery my surgeon left it alone. I am 15 months
post-op Lap proximal RNY and have not had any complications.

I have had NO complications at all. My gall bladder was removed at the time
of my WLS. I had distal rny 10 months ago. 155# lost, 30 to go.

Hi...I had LAP RNY 10 months ago, down 135lbs, 20 to go, no complications
at all. I feel WONDERFUL! Good luck!

I had a lap rny on 5/10/2001. I have had no complications. As a matter of
fact, the only side effect I have had from my surgery is reaching goal! ;)

Me, me, me! No problems/complications whatsoever, if you don't count the
increased occurance of abdominal gas, for which I use Gas-X several
times/day, as prescribed by physician. If I didn't have an almost totally
faded and un-noticable incision scar (surgery was almost 13 months ago) and
get full on tiny amounts of food, I'd never know I'd had anything done to
me, except I'm now at normal weight, having lost over 164 pounds, which
never would have happened if the 'doc' hadn't done SOMETHING in there!

Oh yes, I have had complications. First the gallbladder about 4 months out,
6 months out a total hysterectomy, 13 months out and a hernia. You were not
alone, sorry it took so long to have a comforting response.
