Question:
Has Anyone used Bellaire Hospital in Houston - What did you think?
I'm still waiting for a reply from Cigna PPO, and if succesful will use Dr. Jayakumar (sp?) at Bellaire Hospital in Houston (through Neweigh). I'm not really sure about the hospital though...maybe I'm just picky, but it seemed kind of dumpy to me, didn't really inspire alot of trust, looked morelike a glorified nursing home on my first visit. I had a sleep study done there in Jan with blood work the following am. When I went to the lab @ 5:30am I found a young child sitting behind the desk with a radio blarring loudly (you could hear it in the hall) and the man who drew my blood screaming at the kid to turn it down (after he noticed me). Anyway, the place just really seemed "old & a little run-down". Anyway, does anyone else have an opinion? Not really sure if this is a place I want to be put under and operated on in? — Mark T. I had my surgery in October '99 at Bellaire Hospital and I felt the same
way you do. The people are nice but the hospital is a bit old I think. If
its any help...my room was clean and the nursing staff was good...so it
could be a lot worse than just an old hospital...ya know what I mean? I
kind of gritted my teeth and went in there anyway for the surgery. I've
seen worse to be honest. Come on Mark...you can handle Bellaire for 3 days
can'tcha?
