Question:
Is heavy perspiration a commonality among
can hardly stand to be in the company of others. My question is for post-ops: Is this problem, at least somewhat, alleviated with the weight loss? — [Anonymous] (posted on August 28, 1999)

I used to sweat till my hair was soaking... had the same fears about being
around people... My surgery in 1995 did the trick.... Now I don't have the
problem at all..
Best of luck to you...

Yes! Yes! Yes! I wore my hair ultra short because I was always
"wet". Oh it was AWFUL. Never wore anything but cotton cuzza
the sweat. I don't LIKE to sweat. Now, it's optional!

A lot of the excessive sweating is weight related as is the huffing and
puffing we do when we try to climb stairs or walk distances. Your body is
overworked at best when it's carrying so much extra baggage. As the weight
comes down the laboring your body is going through will reduce and your
blood pressure, sweating and other problems will likely be reduced or
eliminated as well.
